Creating a New Account/Logging In
Clicking on above will give you the option of creating an account or signing in (if you've already created an account) by entering your email and password and clicking sign in.
If you are creating a new account, you will be asked to supply the information that is essential for processing your order:
- First Name:
- This is needed for identification purposes.
- Last Name:
- This is needed for identification purposes.
- This is where order and shipping notification emails will be sent. If you ever lose your username or password, it can be sent to this address.
- This will be your username. You will use it every time you wish to order from the catalog again, when signing in.
- Create a password. This ensures that your personal information is secure. The password should contain 6 to 20 characters (use numbers and letters only).
- Verify Password:
- Re-type your password. This is to make sure it's exactly how you want it.
- Mailing List:
- Tell us how or if you would like to receive the Trixie and Peanut mailing list.
To sign in (if you've already created an account), type your Email and Password in the fields provided and click the sign in button. If you're forgotten your password, click on the "Find a Lost Password" link to your right.
Finding What You Want
To view the products in our catalog, browse by clicking the categories to the left.
The category collars, harnesses + leads has seven sub-categories, which are viewable after you click collars, harnesses + leads.
Nothing happens when I click collars, harnesses + leads
If when you click collars, harnesses + leads you don't see the navigation as shown above, it's because you're using an old browser, or you don't have Style Sheets enabled in your browser preferences.
To solve this problem, turn on this option in your browser preferences, or download an up-to-date browser.
If you're using Netscape, you may have to quit your browser and re-launch it.
Selecting Items for Purchase
Once you've found what you want to purchase, you need to choose a quantity, then click
Before you click "add to cart" make sure you have selected all additional criteria specific to the item, such as size, color, style. Please choose this criteria carefully to ensure you receive the correct product.
After you click "add to cart" your item is added to your shopping cart, which you can review anytime by clicking above. You can add as many items as you like to your shopping cart before checking out.
Why is there sometimes a $0.00 in the shopping cart?
Sometimes the price of an item is based on it's size, style, or other criteria. If you see $0.00 associated with an item in the shopping cart, the price of the item is located directly below, on the same line as the criteria for that item.
Choosing the Right Size
All of our collars, harnesses and pet apparel are sized in inches. Unfortunately it is very difficult for us to determine your pet's size based on its breed or weight, as all pets come in many different shapes and sizes.
To determine your pet's size, please refer to the following chart, which is available from any item page which requires a size specification.
For pet carriers, we suggest you make your decision based on the dimensions of the bag, as the weight capacity listed for each carrier is only meant to be used as a general guideline.
For pet beds, we suggest you measure your pet while lying down and add approximately 10 inches to determine the ideal bed length. In most cases a cramped bed would be considered uncomfortable, so if in doubt, we recommend ordering the next larger size based on your pet's measurements.

You must fill out all of your personal information correctly, as this will affect whether or not your credit card will be accepted.
Once your order has been processed, your invoice will be displayed. We recommend that you print this page. Your invoice will be your proof of having made a purchase. You will need your order number if you have a comment or inquiry about your order.

Return + Exchange Policy
If any Trixie & Peanut website purchase fails to meet your expectations, simply return your merchandise to us in its original and unused condition within 30 days of receipt for a full merchandise exchange or store credit.
Halloween Costume Exchange
If your pet requires a different size of any Halloween Costume purchased from Trixie + Peanut, simply return the costume to us in its original and unused condition within 10 days of purchase for another size of the same costume. We apologize but we do not issue refunds and Halloween Costumes may only be exchanged for a different size of the same costume. Please note: Halloween Costumes purchased after October 15 are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.
Any holiday gift purchased between November 15 and December 24 from Trixie + Peanut may be exchanged through January 31. All exchanges must be accompanied by a receipt. We apologize but we do not issue refunds and holiday apparel may only be exchanged for a different size of the same item until December 15. After December 15, all holiday apparel is final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. Holiday treats + toys are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.
Please do not place a new order for the item(s) you would like in exchange. If you place a new order, your credit card will be charged for that order and you will be issued a store credit for your returned merchandise. Store credits are valid for one year from the issue date and can be used for store or website purchases. We absolutely guarantee your satisfaction.
We encourage you to measure your pet as accurately as possible, as we allow one complimentary exchange per order*. After one exchange, each exchange will incur a re-stocking and shipping & handling fee of $12 per item. Our apologies, but we do not issue refunds, cannot accept returns or exchanges for custom orders, and we cannot accept returns COD. We do not reimburse shipping charges.
*All exchanges for international orders will be charged an international shipping fee based on the items exchanged.

On the packing receipt, please let us know the reason for the return and/or what you would like to exchange the merchandise for. For your protection, we suggest you send your return via Federal Express, UPS or by US Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation for tracking purposes.
Please note: We do not issue refunds for returned merchandise and cannot honor exchanges for any merchandise that is sent back to us after 30 days, has been used, or is not in its original new condition. All toys, sale, personalized, custom, special occasion + formal wear and perishable items are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned. We allow one complimentary exchange per item. After one exchange, each exchange will incur a re-stocking and shipping & handling fee of $12.
Redeeming Your Credit
You may redeem your credit within one year of the issue date by entering your credit code in the "Coupon/Credit/Gift Card Code" field during checkout for your next order. Please note that your order amount, not including shipping or tax, must equal or exceed the amount of your credit. To redeem your credit, you also must be signed in to your account. If you do not yet have an account, you may sign up for one by clicking on "your account" in the top menu bar of the website.
Delivery and Charges
We do our best to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Orders often ship within 2 business days and our average delivery time is 5 - 7 days, depending on the shipping destination, for in-stock, non-serviced items, however orders may take up to 14 business days for delivery. For an additional charge, we offer an expedited delivery option for delivery within 2 - 4 business days. Orders to be delivered within Manhattan (New York City) may also be sent via messenger for an additional charge. Please note that customized items, items sent directly from our suppliers and oversize items may take additional time for delivery. Custom order items cannot be expedited. In order to offer our wide selection of merchandise, items may be shipped from a number of different sources, and items are occasionally shipped in a number of separate packages via Federal Express, UPS and/or the US Postal Service. Many of our items are hand-finished per order and may take the full 14 business days for delivery.
Our shipping rates are based on the total purchase amount and orders are charged in full when a purchase is completed.

Please note that customized and out-of-stock items cannot be shipped via expedited service.
Orders are usually shipped via Federal Express (domestic & international) or the US Postal Service (to PO Boxes, APO addresses, Hawaii & Alaska). We ask that our customers please provide shipping addresses that can accept Fed Ex and UPS shipments. We will ship via the US Postal Service upon request but please understand that these packages cannot be tracked and may take additional time for delivery.
Items shipped to most US destinations* directly from Trixie + Peanut are now shipped via Federal Express with NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. If someone may not be at the shipping address to receive your package and you do not want your items left unattended, we recommend having your order shipped to your workplace, a business, or any location where someone is present during delivery hours. If you would like your package shipped with a signature required, please specify this in the special instructions for your order. Please understand that Trixie + Peanut cannot be responsible for the loss or damage of packages delivered when a recipient is not present.
*Items shipped to Alaska and Hawaii addresses from Trixie + Peanut are sent via USPS Priority Mail and may take additional time for delivery.
We will happily deliver to any international destination. An additional $25 international shipping fee will be applied to all packages with a shipping destination outside of the United States. If any other shipping charges need to be added, we will contact you after your order is placed. This will depend on the merchandise ordered. Larger items such as beds and pet carriers may have an additional shipping charge. Most international orders sent directly by Trixie + Peanut are shipped via Federal Express and will usually arrive within our standard two week delivery time, but may take additional time for delivery. We thank you for your patience.
We are sorry but we cannot be responsible for the loss or damage of packages once they are shipped to an international destination. Customers are responsible for any customs charges, which are assessed by each individual country at the time of delivery. Our apologies, but we cannot estimate your country's customs charges. When ordering from outside of the US, please be sure all address information on your order is complete and correct.
If any item does not list your size or style requirement, please feel free to contact customer service at email@example.com. For example, many collars are available as harnesses and many items area available in custom sizes. Please email us with your special requests.
Please be sure to measure your pets properly and proofread any names carefully, as all custom orders cannot be cancelled, exchanged or returned. These include personalized items and special orders, as well as any item that is noted as a custom order on the item page. Custom orders will be shipped directly from the designers and may take up to eight weeks for delivery.
If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will contact you immediately and inform you of the expected delivery date. Back ordered items are shipped as soon as available.
Prices & Tax
All prices are subject to change without notice. NY State residents are automatically charged applicable sales tax.
Product Descriptions + Images
We have gone to great lengths to ensure accuracy in the descriptions and representation of our products. However, slight variations may occur. While the images on our website have been color-corrected to appear as accurate as possible, their appearance will correspond to the settings on your monitor.
Trixie & Peanut is a retailer of upscale pet products. We currently do not sell any of our items wholesale.
Order Cancellations + Changes
Trixie & Peanut strives to process and ship all orders as promptly as possible. If your order has not yet entered the shipping process, you may cancel or revise your order within 12 hours after your order has been placed. Please email your cancellation request or order change to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include your name and order number. Please note: Orders for custom or personalized items cannot be cancelled or changed at any time. We encourage you to measure your pet as accurately as possible and carefully proofread your order confirmation for any errors or typos. Sorry, but we cannot be responsible for the shipping costs for any cancelled orders.
Non-Deliverable, Refused + Unclaimed Orders
If an order is returned, refused or unclaimed by the customer due to customer refusal, customer negligence/absence, or customer providing incorrect shipping information, we will attempt contact via phone and/or email if provided. If no response is received, the customer will be charged with the appropriate shipping charges and a 30% restocking fee. Please make sure that the shipping information on your order is correct and that someone will be available to receive your package. All orders that require re-shipping at the request of the customer, whether for returned, refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable packages will require an additional re-shipping charge.
